Stepping Stones Across the Spectrum have been busy!

Since our last blog post we have been busy!  Fundraising through Tesco bag packs….Thank you to Tesco’s, Rawtenstall and Aigburth.  Maria, a member of our committee held a vintage afternoon tea which we believe from the pics was an amazing afternoon and as an afternoon tea lover I was devastated to miss!  We had a Christmas and Chanukah fayre, at the Phoenix Centre in Prestwich…..thanks to everyone involved!

In September we held our biennial ball, an absolutely amazing evening at The Last Drop Village in Bolton.  A great night was had by all, fantastic food, entertainment and company!

Thanks to all of our performers, photographer and to Terry for MC’ing the night.  A huge thanks goes to That’s Manchester who came along and interviewed many of our guests, performers and committee members.

The Stepping Stones Across the Spectrum committee also deserve thanking for all the hard work and commitment that goes into each of our events, watch this space for news of our September 2017 concert at Bury Met!

Pictures of all of our events will be coming to the website soon.

Vintage tea afternoon fundraiser

The vast array of delicious cakes made and donated by Elaine Heron, Hillary Smith and Margaret Ho, beautifully displayed and delicious to eat, we were drinking tea from delicate china cups and saucers (Maria took months collecting) it all enhanced a memorable afternoon.

We all enjoyed ourselves and happily donated, raising £180.00.

 Well done Maria!

The Ainsdale Show 2016

The Ainsdale Show, what a day!! Terrible winds, we struggled putting up the gazebo, but with the help of Graham and Les (the show volunteers) we had it all sorted for the start of the days activities.

We had a great day, all the tombola and lucky dip prizes went, we met a lot of lovely people.

At the end of of the day, when packing up, the wind sent a final message, whipped up our gazebo, twisted it and sadly it is no more. Fundraising for a new one next year.

Looking forward to Ainsdale show 2017
